The Stage Is Set

It begins Saturday.

I wish it was going to be a day game. I think baseball is really missing a bet by not having the game scheduled where more kids can watch or see it - it isn't like the ratings will be that much less on a Saturday afternoon as opposed to Saturday night.

I now have to leave the path of my dear friend billroper and walk on in solidarity with khaosworks toward what will hopefully be a Red Sox victory in the Series.

All I ask is that there be no Bill Buckner moments.

Please?


In other news, we finished up a very successful Three Weird Sisters/YAAD gig at 5 Seasons Brewery last night. Started loading the car at 17.30 and got home at 01.45, so it was a long day. Setting up gear in a new space (particularly an odd one with high loft canvas ceilings and lots of glass walls) is difficult, but I think (with some help from one of the North Georgia floating sound crew members) we finally got it to sound good.

I need a new board - the current 8+ channel Spirit mixer isn't going to cut it, I need to splurge on a 16 channel with at least 4 independent monitor mixes available. Sigh. That's what happens when we expand our instrument count exponentially.

I made it back fine though! I got five hours of sleep before being a kindergarten chaperone to the pumpkin farm. (Early night tonight) Thank you for the sound, and the cool flute solo, and everything really. I had such a good time singing and playing with y'all last night! :-)
