Yule and Blessings Of the Season

The week has been crazy in work life (new products and complex problems oh my) and in personal life (shepherding my father through the procedure of getting hardware removed from his back and into the rehab facility where they will help him build up his strength). Add to that the tiling of the floor in his expansion bathroom in preparation for installation of all the fixtures (which started last night), helping with the Solstice ritual being presented tonight at UUCC, and performing music for the service tomorrow morning - I am the mental equivalent of breathless right about now. Never mind that I still have to get the outdoor decorations put up (in the rain. Bleah).

But it would not be the Season of Returning Light if I were to forget to wish all of you out there the brightest of blessings for the Winter Solstice and the New Year. My traditional closing has become a little stretched, since that darn lunar calendar has walked many of the holidays of light I like to mention away from this darkest night, so let me just wish for you the following (and again a hat tip to cflute for the polish):

- as the sun increases, so may your joys increase.
- as the nights become shorter, so may your sorrows shrink.
- as those you love surround you, feel my love there as well.
- may you be blessed by your Gods, be they within or without.
- may all your dearest dreams come to you in time.
