Relaxing Sunday

ladyat and I decided to have a day where we did something new, active, and yet that we didn't have to direct.
We went to Conner Prairie Interactive History Park.
This is a recreation/preservation of an 1836 settlement NE of Indianapolis, with people portraying the roles of the community members and doing much of the work that would have been done at that time. Even having grown up in this area, I had never been - andladyat also had not been, though the kids/grandkids went a couple of years ago when they were here.
A very enjoyable afternoon, lots of herb and produce gardens to examine, lots of quilts to see, lots of walking, and a new section dedicated to reproducing part of a small town in Indiana that was hit by Morgan's Raiders during the Civil War.
Sundays are slow days, with many of the townspeople not present, so we should go back on a weekday (maybe next time the kids are up).
Finished the day with a trip to the 116th Street location of the Chatham Tap (where Finn MacCool's used to be) - OK, but not spectacular - and a serendipitous stop at Greek's Pizzeria for a special T-Shirt forladyat.
