[livejournal.com profile] ladyat and I have a tradition of hosting a house filk (music party for you non-filkers on my flist) on the Saturday in April closest to our son Robert's birthday. This year, the weekend of the 17th is out because of an Irish language immersion weekend [livejournal.com profile] ladyat is going to. That means the date is the 24th.

However, we're doing something different. At the local UU Church Coffeehouse (which is about 4 blocks away), Lou and Peter Berryman will be playing that night, from 7pm to probably about 9 or so, for $10.

Since we figure many (if not all) of the people who normally attend are fans of the Berrymans (or at least of their music - see "Your State's Name Here" or "Chat With Your Mother"), we thought we'd do this more like a concert night with a filk afterward.

We'll meet at our place about 6, as usual, and then about 6:30 we'll wander over to the concert. After it is over we'll head back home and break out the instruments.

Sound good?
