Musical Depression
Dec. 1st, 2006 09:11 pmI was going to gank the Graduation Music meme from a couple of people (
jhayman,
autographedcat), but then I headed over to http://popculturemadness.com/Music/index.html and actually looked around.
I got sidetracked onto the "Worst Songs" list.
It turns out I like more of the "Worst Songs" than I do the top hits (well, the site says they are the songs still most liked) from my graduation year.
I mean, "Ode to Billy Joe" is one of the worst songs ever? "Shannon"? "In the Year 2525"? "Wildfire"?
I already get psychologically smacked around for liking "Macarthur Park" and "Afternoon Delight".
At least "Chevy Van" isn't on this list.
*sigh* I guess my musical taste is all in my mouth. That's depressing.
"Lady in Red"? "The Logical Song" (OK, bad title, but a very creative song lyrically)?
must...stop...reading...site...
