Why, That's Cricket!
Mar. 11th, 2004 04:36 pmHaving been too busy recently to indulge any of my difficult-to-keep-up-with interests, it has been a while since I paid attention to a cricket test match. When
fleetfootmike (whose fault it is that I developed an unnatural interest in such sporting activities) mentioned he was scoring the West Indies v. England test that started today - in a Real Accessible Time Zone - I dusted off my CricInfo link and connected up.
One advantage to working at home is that personal stuff can buzz along on my personal PC behind me while I fiddle and muddle and answer clueless emails and soothe panicked SMS operators on my business PC. And, every once in a while, I can turn around and see things like Lara being caught for only 23.
Makes me think about taking things nice and slow and easy, it do. Sigh.
(For them of youse what would like more info about the game, here is a useful link and another link and my favorite explanation.)
